Peewee House League

Peewee House League Rules

  • Stealing and lead offs are permitted, but a player must wait until the ball leaves the pitcher’s hand to advance.  Legal steals will be determined at the umpire’s discretion.
  • No ‘butterflies’
  • No “balks”
    • If, in the umpire’s judgement, a blatant balk results in the putout of a runner, the umpire will allow the runner to return to his or her base. No further bases will be awarded.
  • Players may advance at their own risk if a deliberate play is made on any of the runners on base.
  • One year over-age bantam players may play
  • All players may pitch up to 2 innings and may not re-enter after removal
  • 4 run rule per inning
  • Complete games are 5 innings
  • No scoring from 3rd on a passed ball/wild pitch, unless a play is made on one of the runners on base.
  • Infield must consist of a regular compliment of players (1st, 2nd, 3rd, Shortstop).
  • Three outfielders permitted, with a fourth designated as a “rover”
  • Games will begin at 6:00 and are 5 innings in length, with no inning beginning after 7:20

PLAYOFFS

  • Games will be played to completion (5 innings)
  • The last inning (plus any extras) will be open for both teams, meaning they may score as many runs as possible before three outs.
  • 10 run rule after 3 innings.
